Smart ForTwo Not nyet rated
Distinctive and quirky styling, on a car that will fit into the smallest off parking spaces. Definitely the Boss around the city.
Available in an array of body panels the Fortwo is offered in four trim levels - the base Pure, more luxurious Passion and the sportier Pulse and Brabus. All have electric windows and remote central locking as standard. The Pulse, Passion and Brabus models have
alloy wheels, while Passion and Brabus also get air conditioning. A large list of options are offered on all models including cruise control, power assisted steering and steering-wheel mounted paddles for shifting gears.
The Smart Fortwos are extremely frugal with combined fuel consumption figures over 60mpg. The majority of models are also doing their bit for the planet with emissions as low as 113g/km putting many within VED band B. For those living or driving within the London congestion charge zone there is even more good
news as most Fortwos are exempted.
Although likely to soon be deleted from the Fortwo range, Smart currently still offers a fun city convertible option.
The Fortwo has a 699cc three-cylinder petrol engine available with outputs of 61bhp, 71bhp or 84bhp, all with semi-automatic six-speed gearboxs. All attract very low insurance ratings.
A new larger Fortwo is to be introduced with right-hand drive imports to begin in September 2007. Customers will however be able to buy a left-hand drive model from Smart dealers in May 2007. A hotter Brabus model and a super-economical diesel will join the line-up later.
Every Smart Fortwo comes with a 2 year Unlimited Mileage Warranty, as well as a minimum 6 year anti-perforation warranty. In addition Smart also provide 24 months Smartmove Assistance breakdown cover within UK and Europe
