SEAT Ibiza Euro NCAP 4 Stars
Youthful image, sharp styling and impressively equipped the Ibiza hatchback is an easy and fun to drive supermini. Whats more it comes with a choice of 22 models and a diverse choice of engines - 13 petrol engines and 9 diesels.
The petrol range consists of 1.2 and 1.4-litre petrol units, as well as two sporty 1.8-litre turbos that sprint from 0 to 62 in 7.3 seconds. Four diesels are also offered, ranging from a 79bhp 1.4-litre engine to a 158bhp 1.9-litre unit.
Ibiza prices are competitive and residual values are above average for a supermini. All the engines are frugal fuel consumers and most fall into cheap company car tax bandings, thanks to their low emissions. To illustrate the point, both the 1.4 TDI and 1.9 TDI
(100PS) fall within the VED C banding with really low emissions of 124 and 132 Co2 g/km respectively. As if that wasnt good enough, the 1.9 returns superb fuel economy of 70.6mpg extra urban and 57.6mpg combined.
Available in Reference, Stylance, Sport, FR and Cupra trim levels, all models come with electric front windows, remote central locking and a CD player. Upgrading to Stylance adds climate control, electric door mirrors, electric windows (five-door models), front fog lights, trip computer and height-adjustable driver's seat. Sport models get alloy wheels, sports suspension and
heavily bolstered seats. The top of the range Cupra gains an oval tail pipe, Cupra badging, electronic stability programme, electronic brake assist, 17-inch alloy wheels and SEAT Racing brakes.
Euro NCAP awarded the Ibiza a 4 Star safety rating. It also scored very well in the Whatcar? security tests, resisting both entry and drive-away. All models get twin front airbags, anti-lock brakes, an immobiliser and deadlocks. Side airbags and an alarm are available
on higher spec models or as optional extras.
All models come with a 2 year unlimited mileage manufacturers warranty plus a further 1 year / 60,000 miles (whichever is soonest) retailer warranty. The combined warranty means that you are covered from the registration date of your car, for a total of 3 years
or up to 60,000 miles, a (depending on which comes first). In addition you also get a 3 year paint and 12 year anti-corrosion warranty and 1 year breakdown cover.

measures have also introduced to facilitate emptying of liquids.
