With leasing rates among the lowest in the family-car class, a classy interior, good fuel economy and modest emissions the Laguna is sure to continue to appeal to the company car driver, particularly the turbo diesel version. However the appeal wont stop there

All Lagunas are well equipped with air-conditioning, CD player, front fog lamps, central locking, electric windows and heated door mirrors as standard. Dynamique trim adds automatic lights and wipers,climate control, cruise control, heat reflecting windscreen and 'See me home' headlights. GT specification gets heated front seats, rear sunblind, satellite navigation, tyre pressure monitor, xenon lights sports suspension and leather seats. Various option packs are also offered on most models to upgrade equipment levels even further. There are also sports options which feature items such
as larger alloys, a rear spoiler and sports seats. Finally, the most luxuriously equipped trim, Initiale, gets electrochrome rear view mirror, full leather upholstery, and a blue-tooth communications system.
As youd expect from the first car to be awarded a maximum five-star Euro NCAP safety rating, there is an impressive list of standard safety features. Four airbags plus side curtains, anti-lock brakes with brake assist, power steering and five three-point seatbelts with
pretensioners to name just a few. Security is taken care of with deadlocks, an electric steering lock, an immobiliser, keyless entry and remote central locking.

2006, it confirmed that the group was preparing a broad range of alternative technologies, of which the fuel cell is just one part.
At the 16th World Hydrogen Energy Conference in Lyons, France Renault was able to show off the advances it has made in the development of vehicles powered by fuel cells with reformers used to apply hydrogen energy to power a car. This technology directly produces hydrogen on demand and on board the vehicle, solving the problem of very high-pressure or cryogenic storage. Since 2002, Renault and Nuvera Fuel Cells have been working together on this solution by which the reformer, transforms liquid fuel into reformate, a hydrogen-rich gas that can be used to supply the fuel cell. The only by product of this process is water, which is then returned in a closed circuit to the reformer that needs water to operate.
When a vehicle reaches the end of its service life Renault recognises that, as well as being a potential burden on the environment, it is not worthless and still has a value as it contains expensive raw materials
