The X3 has yet to be crash-tested by Euro NCAP, however all modern BMWs have performed impressively, scoring four or five stars. Standard safety equipment includes front, side and head airbags, ABS brakes, Dynamic Stability Control, Hill Descent Control, Dynamic Brake Control, Cornering Brake Control and five three-point seatbelts. All cars have an alarm, immobiliser and remote central locking so it is not surprising that Thatcham's, the renowned vehicle security testing company, give all models of the X3 a top 5 star rating in its "theft of" tests. What Car in their review of the X3 couldn't break into the vehicle!
All models come with a 3 year 60000 mile, 3 year paint and 12 year anti-corrosion manufacturers warranty.
