Available in Coupe and Roadster versions, there are two engines to choose from, a 197bhp 2.0 litre turbocharged engine, and a 247bhp 3.2-litre V6. Both use six-speed manual gearboxes, and both are
available with an excellent six-speed, S Tronic direct-shift gearbox, which performs like an automatic. The driver can choose between the standard ride setting or the sharper 'sport' setting by pushing a button behind the gear lever. All Audi TT models comply with the EU IV emission standard.

Front and side airbags, a head restraint system, that helps prevent whiplash injury, and the electronic stability control (which can correct the cars line during a skid) all contribute to the NCAP 4 star safety rating. Isofix child seat mountings for the rear seats are
offered as an option, as is a tyre pressure monitoring system.
A fully automatic 'hands-free' roof operation with improved sound insulation, comes on both versions of the new roadster.
